ECG abnormalities that are more frequent in patients with hyperthyroidism

  Sinus tachycardia

Increased voltage, especially in the young

Supraventricular arrhythmias : atrial fibrillation (most common), atrial flutter

  Left anterior fascicular block

Atrial premature systole (APS), ventricular premature systole (VPS)

Non-specific ST segment and T wave changes

Any type of atriventricular block (less common)

In patients with atrial fibrillation, it is more difficult to control high ventricular rate if the patient also has accompanying hyperthyroidism.
